Type 2 Diabetes Clinical Trial

This study will compare the effectiveness of two FDA-approved type 2 diabetes treatments: Soliqua 100/33 and Lantus. Researchers are looking for volunteers from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds to take part. In addition to treatment and compensation, participants also receive lifestyle and diet counseling as well as access to diabetes management tools.

Eligibility requirements

Participants must:

  • Be 18 or older
  • Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least one year
  • Have HbA1c between 7.5% and 10%
  • Be treated with long-acting insulin (controls blood sugar between meals and during sleep) and a diabetes pill or tablet
  • Hispanic, Black/African American or Asian/Asian American

Participants must not:

  • Be using an insulin pump
  • Have a diagnosis of sickle cell disease
  • Have a history of or diagnosis of gastroparesis
  • Be pregnant/become pregnant
