Resistant hypertension clinical trial enrolling now
Hypertension (i.e. high blood pressure) is a common condition in which the force of blood against the artery walls is too high, leading to a consistently elevated blood pressure reading.
Many of these patients also live with resistant hypertension, which means their blood pressure is not well-managed by the current medications available. This clinical trial is seeking volunteers that take three or more medications daily and still routinely have a systolic (top number) blood pressure above 145. Researchers are studying an investigational injectable drug aimed at helping these patients manage their blood pressure.
