COPD, short for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It’s a long-term lung disease that makes it hard to breathe. Participating in clinical trials is one way to support the entire COPD population and help researchers develop treatment options at the same time. A new clinical trial is investigating the safety and efficacy of a drug with the aim of potentially reducing moderate-to-severe symptom flare-ups for some people living with COPD, and volunteers are needed.
